Baoringdao Bodo – The future of Indian football’s attack

Baoringdao Bodo

Baoringdao Bodo turns 17 on October 17 and the AIFF Academy product has already announced himself as a bright prospect for Indian football.

He impressed one and all with his incredible speed and ball skills at the 2016 IFA Shield where playing for AIFF U19s, he was adjudged the best player of the tournament. The number 10 scored in the losing cause in the final against Tata Football Academy.

The U19 player was then chosen by the AIFF to train in at France FC Metz. Bodo was signed by Chennaiyin FC for the 2016 ISL but is yet to make an appearance for the team from Chennai.

The Assam boy has already proved himself that he is the player on whom one can invest for future. He had been part of the triumphant Indian U-16 squad in the U-16 South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship in 2013. Baoringdao Bodo was also a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-16 Qualifiers (in Kuwait in 2013) and the Indian squad in the SAFF U-19 Championship.

We wish Baoringdao Bodo a very happy birthday and hope he gets to play in the ISL very soon. India would love to see such a talented player making a mark on the big stage.
