FIFA World Cups are always a very special event for the followers of the game, to witness a match in the stadium is even the dream of their life for some people.
As the next edition of the World Football’s most important tournament is enclosing, ticket sales are making new records as all the available tickets being sold out within minutes of the start of the sale.
The tournament to be held in Russia in 2018 has a special news for Indians, as people from India wants to be at the stadium so badly than ever, even though the national team is not a part of it.
FIFA has already allocated around 159,402 tickets for the event, which is roughly 98% of the currently available tickets and India is among the top 10 countries from which the world football governing body has received the most number of applications from.
Out of the 10 countries, understandably 51% of tickets were snatched by Russians themselves, as they are the hosts of the country. Fans from Argentina, Mexico, USA, Brazil, Colombia, China, Australia, Germany and India make up the rest of the top 10.
For those who are still planning to visit Russia and be a part of the festivities of the World Cup, chances are still open. FIFA will re-open the ticket sales on December 5th. It will be a random selection draw which will run until 31st January 2018.
There will be another sales window between 13th March 2018 and 3rd April 2018, which will be done on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis.
